Hackathon DAO Grant-1 2022 - Open Source Communities

This season, from 2021-12-26 to 2022-03-31, we hold a 💰 $30,000 (in $DORA) funding pool 💰 to empower global open source communities including but not limited to open source repo maintainers and contributors, tech event organizers, learning groups, educational content producers, etc.

The prize allocation will be decided by Hackathon DAO members and contributors using quadratic voting. The $DORA token will be released according to the $HAC allocation on 👉 the grant page one-to-one.

Application Guide

➔Steps

  1. Visit 🔗grant page and signup / login with your GitHub or Email by clicking the button on the right corner.
  2. Click “Apply Grant” and connect your wallet.
  3. Create a BUIDL
    • If you want to use existing BUIDL to apply, please select with the drop down box.
    • If you’re new to Hackerlink, please click “Create a new BUIDL to apply for grant”, and fill in the form to offer the information of your project.
  4. Submit a BUIDL
    • Once you’ve filled out everything, click on “Submit”. You will need a small amount of MATIC as gas fee, please make sure you have some MATIC in your wallet, otherwise your project cannot be submitted successfully.
    • You can use Polygon gas token swap which is a gas-less transaction provided by Polygon wallet.
  5. Join our Discord, send “Need BUILD review + your BUIDL name” in #🌍grant-ss21 channel and our DAO committee will help to review your application.

➔What Should be Included in the Application Page?

Your application BUIDL will be reviewed by our DAO committee to make sure the applicants are real open source communities. So, please make sure you include:

  • Introduction of yourself and/or the group you represent.
  • Proofs that can help us verify the applicant group does exist, for example:
    • event organizers: previous event records
    • community: social platform accounts, IM platform groups, websites, previous events, etc.
    • open source projects: your repo link
    • educational content producers: link to the resources that you produced
  • Some pre-defined deliverables that you plan to accomplish before 2022-03-21, and the project will be evaluated according to this in voting and grace period.

申请指南

➔申请步骤

  1. 访问 🔗grant 页面，然后点击页面右上角的按钮注册/登录；
  2. 点击申请资助 “参与 Grant”, 并链接你的钱包;
  3. 创建 BUIDL
    • 如果你想要使用过往 BUIDL 进行申请，通过下拉框选择相应的项目；
    • 如果你没有过往的 BUIDL，请点击“新建 BUIDL 项目参与 grant”并填写相应的信息；
  4. 提交 BUIDL
    • 填写完所有内容后，单击“提交”。您将需要少量的 MATIC 作为 gas 费，请确保您的钱包中有一些 MATIC，否则您的项目将无法成功提交；
    • 如果需要 gas 费，你可以使用 Polygon 钱包提供的免交易费服务 换取少量 MATIC；
  5. Join our Discord, 在 #🌍grant-ss21 频道发送 “Need BUILD review + 你的项目名称”，然后我们的 DAO 委员会会尽快开始审核您的申请。通过审核之后，你的项目就会展示在 Hackathon DAO Grant 2022 S1 页面上，可供大家投票了；

➔申请 BUIDL 页面中应该包含什么？

Hackathon DAO 委员会将通过 BUIDL 页面上的信息来审核申请社区的真实性，投票者也将通过 BUIDL 页面上的信息决定是否支持你。为了方便辨别与确认，请务必在申请中包含以下内容：

  • 您对自己和你代表的社区的简介；
  • 一切可以帮助Hackathon DAO验证您的社区确实存在的证明，比如：
    • 活动组织者: 过往活动资料
    • 技术社区: 社交媒体、即时通讯小组、网站、过往活动等等
    • 开源项目: 代码库链接
    • 教育内容制作者：过往制作的教育内容链接
  • 您计划在2022-03-21之前完成的可交付成果，这将成为大家投票的重要依据。
